That's not really the impression I was getting while reading interviews from the showrunners. I guess they were planning them from mid-season because the writers were always putting them together in storylines. Also, they don't believe in musical chairs. They believe in the slow-burn (or at least normal development because there's buildup and then there's waiting forever) and writing organically. They also believe people can move on and have everyone still be friends and respectful.
As soon as they started putting them together in one on one scenes, I KNEW. So, if you add all the episodes up...it did take quite a bit of time to get there. Plus, he bought the Claw for her. That's just...
So I mean...I think they're going to be around for quite a while. I mean...they JUST got together officially. I'm not saying they're going to be together forever, but they did put a lot of effort into their build-up. I think they're here to stay for now.
Even Kennedy ships them. She's quite vocal about it in her interviews.
