I love their friendship.

I'm doing a rewatch of the show and in the first couple of episodes, Ace had a little crush on Bess. It was kinda weird though tbh and I'm glad they shut that down pretty early on (because they make better friends)...but it was probably just a plot device to explore Bess's sexuality.
