Okay, I think I'm starting to understand who is the other female alien in the flashbacks. I guess I just thought Michael, Max and Isobel were all related and that's why they needed to stay together. Louise is Max and Isobel's mother, and Nora is Michael's mom.
Louise might still be alive?
