That entire episode was such a slog.
Jamie ended up saving Roger's ass since some of their men left.
Good thing they got more men to fight with them. Which is laughable because Jamie doesn't want to fight Murtagh and his people so this is all just for show.
They are slowly teasing us with Bonnet and I hope Roger & Claire arrives on time before Bonnet sees Brianna. Jamie will be left with the rest as he instructed Roger to bring Claire back to Frasier's Ridge.
